I always try to use the set designs and specific lines of sight the Director and Production Designer create to tell our story.
Built in an empty lot in Vancouver, with digital set extensions.
The rubble wall was organic looking, but it's design was purposeful so I used a 3D model of it where I could.
The backgrounds here were crucial to understanding much of the later character movements and story, so I included them throughout.
These quick drawings and descriptions might inform previs mocap, cast rehearsal, filming, performance capture, even VFX bids and final VFX and editing. I try to make them as useful as possible!
